Google to Reject Microsoft's Office Open XML

In recent news it seems that Google has called for ISO member bodies to reject Microsoft's Office Open XML document format during the current voting period ending March 30 this year. As per Google's open-source programs manager, Microsoft's document format is superfluous and contains technical errors. Even Google has already backed ISO approved competing OpenDocument Format (ODF) because of above stated reason.
