The actual outbreak of the rebel war started in 1991 in Eastern Sierra Leone, then it spread to the pSouth. In April 1994 it reached the North and after a year in 1995 it made itself felt in the Western Area of the country. At the moment, in the year 2008 the yoke of this rebel war is still psychologically and painfully hanging over the head of every living Sierra Leonean.
