Time to Say Goodbye to the Big Three

According to CNN, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid , and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently wrote to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson asking that he look into seeing if the big three automakers (GM, Ford, and Chrysler) could qualify for some of the funds in the $700 billion bailout legislation recently passed in Congress. The concept of the big three falling is scary. Perhaps two million jobs could go away when factoring in the businesses that support these industries, but I'm not convinced that government should get involved.
