How many more businesses, jobs, and hopes will be killed by this irresponsible Congress? When will the average blogger realize that when a corporation fails, we all suffer? One would think that the informed and enlightened could take time out from their texting for a little research and education.

The Way Things Used to Be - The Organ Grinder
There was an organ grinder with a battered felt hat who wheeled a big box organ with wheelbarrow handles from street to street. He had a little monkey with a red cap, red uniform and a tin cup and he would stop every few hundred yards, rest the organ down on its front legs, put the monkey on the sidewalk and crank a brass handle to play old tunes you could always hum, but whose names you couldn't always remember.

Ceramic Kiln Elements - How Hot is It?
In this day and age a question like that could be an indicator for a number of things, one of which is not the economy. The presidential race has been hotter in recent history but can still be considered somewhat hot especially if you don't necessarily believe the news media is getting impartial poll results. If you ask mostly Democrats who will be the next President, then you get mostly democratic answers and vice versa. The weather is always a fair topic to discuss when talking about hot. With global warming being all the rave it seems like everything should be getting hotter, yet, we are having record cold as well. Things that are always hot are kiln elements and everything that is in the kiln.

Immortality - The Evolution of Human Beings Into Divine Human Beings
There are two types of "evolution" occurring in our species. The first is Darwin's "competitive" evolution that is based on the adage of "survival of the fittest". The second is a Spiritual evolution that entails human beings reclaiming their rightful place in the Universe as the Divine Immortal Beings that they (we) are.

Developing a Technology of Stillness
Stillness is the place where we meet what is essential in us. It is a place of non-disturbance where there is enough space and enough quiet to hear the soft whispers of intuition and guidance. Is it possible to take something as subtle and fragile as our connection to stillness and create a "technology" to make that connection our default way of being? My answer is YES! Absolutely.

Congress and the House Approve Bans on Toys Made With Lead and Phthalates
Due to all the recent recalls on tainted toys, Congress and the House have become so alarmed that they voted overwhelmingly to ban lead and other dangerous chemicals such as phthalets from children's toys. The new legislation will toughen the rules on the testing of children's products and take steps to give more muscle to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Parents should be able to purchase toys for their children without having to worry about if they are dangerous or not.

Bridges, Happy Or Sad?
We suffered from no bridge 50 years ago, today maybe we temporarily feel proud and happy because the bridges are economically bringing prosperity to us, however, we will finally be sad due to these bridges in coming future. The officers of some local cities only pay attention to achievements in their posts without long-term plan and proper design for large vessels passing through. Some of those bridges have been locking the river, the "Golden Waterway" we have ever been proud of for transportation on water, 10000 DWT vessels could only reach Nanjing and that can not go forward because of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge with no enough net headroom left upon design and construction. Will this affect the water transportation economy of China? I think it will
