Right now the Hydro and Utility companies have a program where they go round on a daily basis and renew the timber utility poles they consider no longer safe or suitable. This renewal process costs them on average around $7,000.00 per pole and much more if its a remote location or the pole has lots of fixtures on it. For every new pole, an average of three trees are cut down to get one suitable for making into a utility pole and yet, the all natural green technology is here to save their existing poles by doubling their life expectancy from its current thirty years. Why don't they change their ways?
