What Have I Learned?

Many students, at the end of the school year, when asked what they have learned, cannot come up with a meaningful answer. Hispanic students need modern English vocabulary and conventions, not obsolete English lit. Let's fund creative teachers and principals so they may experiment with new strategies and learning methods. The stimulus package may well be the help we need to revamp our public education. Are there any enlightened politicians in Washington and state capitols?
